# Trimtab US Trade Ledger (Trimtabist) > The US Trade Ledger: every US container gateway, every partner country, every month — > Census-recorded, AIS-verified. One fused instrument: a revision-aware mirror of US Census > port-level trade (all partner countries, by commodity), cross-checked against live > AIS observation of ships at the same eight gateways. Every series is graded by how its > numbers were made, citable, free (CC BY 4.0), and withdrawn from publication when it > cannot be trusted. US customs declarations show imports from India flat to strongly up across the same window, and goods cannot reach the United States without leaving India. The series should not be cited for this period. Falsified by: Evidence that Indian container exports to destinations other than the United States fell by roughly 40% in this window while US-bound trade held up. That would make both instruments right.
